Flipkart Diwali Sale 2026: Expected Dates and Offers

As of September 28, 2026, Flipkart has not announced dates for its Diwali sale. Diwali falls on November 8, 2026, and Flipkart Big Billion Days comes first, confirmed for October 9, so the Diwali sale is expected to follow it later in October or in the run-up to early November.

This guide covers what we know from last year’s edition, the range of estimates for 2026, what you can expect to find on sale, and how to plan the spend. For every major sale in one place, see our online sales 2026 guide.

When Does the Flipkart Diwali Sale 2026 Start?

Flipkart has not confirmed a date, and sale trackers disagree, with estimates ranging from October 11 to late October and early November. Last year offers a reference point. Flipkart’s Big Bang Diwali Sale opened on October 11, 2025, nine days before Diwali on October 20. A similar gap this year would point to around October 30, since Diwali is on November 8.

What Offers Can You Expect?

Based on last year’s edition, a Flipkart Diwali sale typically brings:

  • An instant discount on some credit cards
  • 24-hour early access for Flipkart Plus and Black members
  • Discounts on smartphones, televisions, home appliances, fashion, home decor and festive gifting
  • Low-priced sale passes and reward contests, which featured in past editions

All of this is drawn from previous editions. Offer terms for 2026 will only be clear once Flipkart publishes them.

Should You Wait for the Diwali Sale or Buy During Big Billion Days?

Big Billion Days opens on October 9, with early access on October 8, and is usually where flagship phones and headline offers are concentrated. The Diwali sale tends to work as a second chance for anything you missed, particularly televisions, appliances and gifting. If a deal at Big Billion Days meets your price, buying then is safer than waiting for a sale whose dates and offers are unconfirmed. Amazon’s Great Indian Festival Sale also opens on October 8, so it is worth comparing both.

Diwali Shopping Tips

  • Set a budget for each category before the sale starts, and keep to it
  • Check price history and compare the same product on Amazon before buying
  • Read the terms of any no-cost EMI offer, since processing fees can apply
  • Order gifts at least a week before Diwali to allow for delivery, and see our Diwali gift ideas for inspiration

Spreading the Cost: Card EMI, or Personal Loan

For one or two purchases, a bank card discount or a no-cost EMI at checkout is usually enough.

If you expect to shop across several sales this season, a ZestMoney credit facility is another option. ZestMoney, powered by DMI Finance, offers eligible shoppers a reusable digital credit facility of up to ₹1.5 lakh that can be used at checkout at eligible partner stores, without needing a separate credit card, and used again as you repay.

For a bigger festive spend, such as a television, appliances and gifting together, a personal loan spreads the cost without using up your savings. DMI Finance offers personal loans of up to ₹10 lakh, through a fully digital application. You can check your eligibility before the sale and read more on our personal loan page or our guide to a personal loan for buying electronics and gadgets. Click here to apply.
